A Family Tradition, Built for Greenwich
Petticoat Lane Greenwich was founded by Jason Palmer in 1997 as an independently owned lingerie boutique serving Greenwich, Connecticut and the surrounding communities. For nearly 30 years, the store has been a destination for personal service, exceptional fit and products chosen with real customers in mind.
Jason’s retail education began in 1990, when his mother, Phyllis Jacobson, opened a Petticoat Lane store in Chappaqua, New York. Together, the family has spent nearly four decades in the bra-fitting business. Mothers have brought daughters to Petticoat Lane for years; now many of those daughters bring their own daughters. That continuity comes from knowing customers, listening carefully and helping each person feel genuinely confident in what she wears.

2014 Best of Intima: Best European Flair
In 2014, Petticoat Lane Greenwich received the Best of Intima award for Best European Flair, recognizing its distinctive selection of European lingerie and its place among North America’s leading independent lingerie boutiques.
The award still reflects the store today: exceptional European brands, expert product knowledge and a collection chosen personally rather than by an algorithm.

Petticoat Lane is not a department store with more inventory. It is a specialist boutique where advice begins with a conversation: what you need, how you want to feel and what will make sense for your life. We do not buy for a generic national customer. Every lingerie set, swimsuit, dress, hosiery style and accessory is selected for the women who shop Petticoat Lane in Greenwich.
Because we are independently owned, the selection is personal. We do not bring in every item from every brand. We choose pieces that are beautiful, wearable, well-made and worth recommending—and we keep looking for distinctive new designers and styles that give our customers something genuinely special.
Our professional bra fitters fit bras all day, every day. We specialize in 30–38 bands through G cups, with lingerie chosen to do more than look beautiful on a hanger: it must support, shape and feel comfortable, while looking right under a T-shirt or an evening dress. Many customers come to us because they want to wear beautiful lingerie for themselves—to feel confident, elegant and gorgeous underneath it all.
Petticoat Lane is one of the country’s largest Wolford sellers. Our team knows the difference a specific Wolford style, color, denier or fabrication can make, and helps customers choose hosiery that is exactly right for the occasion. We also carry Falke socks as part of our commitment to exceptional everyday essentials.
Swimwear has been a major part of the store for 15 years. Karla Colletto, Melissa Odabash and Camilla are among our most important collections, selected for fit, quality and the way our customers actually travel, dress and spend their summers. The same approach guides our clothing: our dresses are chosen to be comment-worthy—pieces that make people stop and say, “That is spectacular.”
